How important are anthropologists to society? Some debate that they play a key role in the development of modern society. From my perspective, anthropologists play a very important role in modern society as they help us to understand different systems and social norms. I would say that they are one of the key factors in the smooth flowing and development of our society. The focus of this paper therefore would seek to discuss the role of anthropologists in the development of modern society. It will identify areas of development in which anthropologists could help institutions better understand the cultures of people whose developmental needs they wish to address. In addressing this topic, I will first give a general definition of cultural anthropology followed by a discussion of the aspects of anthropologists’ work. I will then follow up their aspects of work with the tools and methods they use to undertake aspects of their work.
